On global and local buckling response of structural angle sandwich panels

چکیده

Having in mind the topic of industrialised construction and benefits modular construction, sandwich panels are investigated to be utilised as load-bearing wall elements. To assess its full potential, present paper tackles linear elastic buckling response axially loaded angle panels, by means numerical analytical calculations, upper bound load bearing capacity. The failures modes obtained framed for concentrically with fixed pin-ended supports. A parametric study panel comprising a series finite element models is undertaken where responses compared calculations based on theory panels. Boundaries local global identified framed. • Load capacity angle/corner panel. Numerically thresholds instabilities. Development an formulation automatic generation 8640 model responses.
